Sending an item
When can I book a delivery?
Booking opens in the Courier King app for iPhone and Android, starting in Tampa. Pickups need to be within 25 miles of downtown Tampa. The drop-off can be farther, at $2 a mile past the first ten.
What does $25.99 cover?
An everyday item, outdoor pickup and drop-off, and your help loading, including the first ten miles. Each additional mile is $2. Extra lifting help, indoor carries and stairs can need a separate quote, and you review the total before agreeing to it.
When am I charged?
The delivery amount is authorized when you book and charged when the delivery is complete. If nobody takes it, the authorization is released.
Can I cancel?
Cancellation is free before a driver accepts. After a driver accepts, a $9.99 cancellation fee applies. Your receipt shows the confirmed charge and any released authorization.
What if the item won't fit?
The driver photographs the item before ending the delivery as a no-load. A $10 trip fee applies, and the rest of the authorization is released.
What if something is damaged?
Open the delivery in the app and choose Report a problem. Describe the damage and attach a photo. Our team reviews it alongside the pickup and drop-off photos.
Driving
How much do I keep?
$20 of the base fare, all of the mileage past the first ten miles, and 100% of the extra help you quote. Your take-home amount is on the job card before you accept.
Can I use my personal auto insurance?
No. You need commercial vehicle insurance, a business with an EIN, a valid driver's license and a 2016 or newer vehicle. We check your insurance by hand when you apply.
How soon can I start?
We invite drivers from the waitlist as places open in each area, so timing depends on demand. When you're invited, you apply in the app. A person reviews your documents before we order the background check.
Why only two jobs at a time?
It keeps a customer from waiting behind several other deliveries. Finish one and the next slot opens.
When is my location shared?
While you're online in Drive mode, your location helps find nearby jobs. During an active delivery the customer can follow your progress. Going offline or leaving Drive mode stops sharing.
